Nyora Primary School Council OSHC is an important part of the school community where children learn through play, have fun and develop friendships in a safe, caring and inclusive environment.
Nyora PS inspires respectful, responsible, resilient learners for life.
By empowering our students with positive behaviours through the school’s values of respect, resilience and responsibility our student’s social, emotional, and learning growth will prosper. School- wide Positive Behaviour Support is evidence – based framework for preventing and responding to student behaviour.
It aims to create a positive school climate, a culture of student competence and an open, responsive management system for all school community members.
Nyora PS participates in the school – wide positive behaviour support program and has achieved the silver award 2020, 2021 and 2022 for school wide positive behaviours. To provide continuum for students and staff, the school expressed they would like this to be continued with the OSHC service.
The school – wide Positive Behaviours Support program is underpinned by the school’s values. School values are reflected in everyday learning and displayed and taught explicitly in all areas of the school. Our values are the three R’s’: RESPECT, RESILIENCE, RESPONSIBILTY.
The OSHC program is supported by the principles outlined in the approved learning framework, My Time Our Place, which includes
- Ongoing learning and reflective practice for all learners.
- Working partnerships between the school, families and local community
